ACTUAL ETHICAL DILEMMA (ED) 6% (7 pages, maximum) This 60-point assignment involves describing and analysing an ethical dilemma which you (or someone you know well) actually experienced in an organizational setting (such as a company, school, sports team, church, sererity, etc). An ethical dilemma is a situation which involves ethical questions (issues of moral right and wrong) and in which the moral course of action is either (a) not clear or (b) clear but unpleasant to take because of possible negative outcomes for the person faced with the decision or for others. Your paper should do the following things. Point values for each section are listed in parentheses at the end. Please number each section of your submission using the numbers below. It's not required but may be helpful to list the direction for each point before your answer. 1. describe the situation in enough detail that the instructor clearly understands what happened (5) 2. indicate which of the types of Ethical Challenges described in The Business Ethics Field Guide your dilemma most closely seems to fit within, and explain why (5) 3. identify what the various ethically desirable outcomes/resulty of the situation would have been, once all actions have been taken (once the situation has been set in motion, what is the best possible set of outcomes that could have resulted after you and others finished taking all actions that could have been taken?) (6) 4. explain why you believe these outcomes/results to be both ethical and desirable (5) 5. Identify what actions you should have taken to bring about these ethical and desirable outcomes, once the initial action creating the dilemma had occurred (Le, you cannot answer this on the basis of the initial questionable action not having been taken) (6) 6. explain what actions you actually ended up taking (5); 7. explain what the outcomes/results actually were, AND how ethically desirable they were (5) 8. reflect on why, in retrospect you think the actions engaged in were taken (both the initial ones and the ones that you and others subsequently took) (6); 9. discuss the extent to which each of the six ethical decision making principles discussed by Collins (egoism, social group relativism, cultural relativism, utilitarianism, deontology virtue ethics) was in evidence in the actions taken by yourself or others in this situation (12 pts) 10. reflect on what you have learned from this experience (5) This assignment's grade is based on how well you provide the information noted above, as well as the quality of your explanations. It will not be based on the actions that were taken, so report the situation accurately
