Q. 12 A well is drilled through gas reservoir of following composition 500 m below the subsurface. The bottom hole pressure is 20 bars and temperature 800 K. The surface conditions are Pressure = 1 bar and temperature = 300 K. Estimate the actual work required in KW to transport the gas through the well to the surface given that it flows adiabatically. The radius of wellbore is 20-ft. The velocity at bottom of well is 200 m/s. The reservoir temperature is 800K. (Hint: To solve this question first justify the ideal condition exist in the well)
