An ideal Brayton cycle uses a flow rate of 2.3 kg of air per second which enters the compressor at 1 bar and 23.6 °C. The compressor outlet pressure is at 4.5 Bar and the fuel flow rate into the combustor is 18.82g/s. Use n = γ =1.40 and cp = 1.005 kJ kg-1 K-1, LCV = 43MJ/Kg
How much work does the compressor require? What is its outlet temperature?
(369.44kW, 183 °C)
What is the fuel input rate? How much work does the turbine produce? What is its outlet temperature?
(809.26kW, kW, 524.4K)
What is the total power output of this cycle? What is the efficiency of the cycle?
(281.32 kW, 34.8%)
