Assessment 2.1 the two-page outline (and
assessment 2.2 the marketing plan) are to be based on
the table “The Marketing Plan: An Outline” page 55 of
the online text book. Your outline (and plan) must include all of
the components outlined in the table. To maximise
marks students must address all the sections in the table on
page 55, referring to the explanatory notes on each
section in the pages before and following the table pages. In
addition to the learning outcomes, students will be assessed on
written presentation, including referencing, use of grammar,
clarity of writing, and acceptable length of report.
The two page outline is to be completed by each
student individually based on a Fast Moving Consumer
Good (FMCG) of their choice, but available in Australian
supermarkets. No two members of the group may complete
the outline on the same product. You must have a
variety from which to choose. The Individual
assessment is worth 5%. The two-page outline of the
project is due by Tuesday 11:30am on 29
March 2022, via Canvas. In the tutorial that day,
each student will share their
outline with their group. Be
prepared to share your outline on Zoom while in your break out
rooms. After discussion, your group will then
select one of the four FMCGs on which to develop a
marketing plan. One member of each group is to advise the lecturer
of your groups' choice of product.
Complete the outline as fully as you can but within
the 2 page limit. There will be some
information not available to you as yet. The idea is to gain a
picture of the ease with which you can find information about this
product and its level of interest to you and your group. For
example, you may choose a product that is also available in your
home country. Research information such as journal articles about
your industry, advertisements of your product and any other
information you can find about your product. You should use a 11-12
point font, such as Times New Roman or Calibri, single
spacing with margins of at least 2.5cm.
