11. A 4 m high cold water tank has a vertical outlet pipeline of 25 m length which is connected to the inlet port of a control valve. The tank level is maintained at a constant level setpoint of 75 % using gravity feed from another valve. The outlet pipeline is a DN 50 steel pipe. The outlet port is connected to a short DN 50 steel pipeline with negligible losses. The short pipeline drops freely into an open tank. (Assume the following: density of water 1000 kg/m gravitational acceleration -9.8 m/s²; atmospheric pressure -101 kPa. (Hint: Use the data sheet for pressure drop in stainless steel pipes.) a Drawn a neat P&ID of the system showing all pressure variables used. b. Calculate the differential gauge pressure across the valve for a flow velocity of 0 m/s. 1 m/s, 2 m/s and 3m/s respectively. Draw the corresponding graph for the absolute pressure versus the flow rate for the upstream, downstream and differential pressures. Cl
