Digital System Design:
1. A memory unit has two control inputs labeled enableand read/write. The memory data inputs and outputs are connected toan MBR registers in figure 8.7. The MBR can receive informationeither from an external register EXR or from the memory unit aftera read operation. The MBR provides the data for the memory-writeoperation. Draw a block diagram using multiplexers and gates thatshows the connection of MBR to memory.
The system must have a capability of implementing thefollowing three transfers:
W: M ← MBR R: MBR ← M E: MBR ← EXR
2. Why register transfer logic is used in digitalsystem design?
3. How memory unit works with the externalenvironment?
