The tributary area of the truss is 16m by 4m in plan projection.A roof diagonal in the truss is of size 180x50mm. The roof diagonalrequires splicing. The side plates to be used in the splicing arealso from Douglas Fir (Elsewhere) and are 180x35mm insize.
The unfactored loads that are applied to the member consist of apermanent load of 3kN and an imposed load of 5kN (considered as 5months duration load).
