Question 3 (20 marks) (a) A motor's shaft is spinning at a speed of 3000 rad/min. (4 marks) Determine the shaft's speed in radians per second. (b) Figure 2 shows a simple loop that is rotating in a uniform magnetic field B, where B is aligned to the right as shown in the figure. Given, B = 0.51 1 = 0.5 m r = 0.1m w=103rad / s N S Figure 2 i. Calculate the voltage, en (t) induced in this rotating loop. (4 marks) ii. If a resistor of 50 is connected as a load across the (4 marks) terminals of the loop, calculate the current, i(t) that would flow through the resistor. (4 marks) iii. Calculate the magnitude and direction of the induced torque, Ting (t) on the loop for the conditions in (ii). (c) A motor is applying 60N.m of torque to its load. If the (4 marks) motor's shaft is turning at 1800r/min, calculate the mechanical power supplied to the load? You must present your answer in the unit of watts.

N S - 1 - B
