Question # 2: The figure below shows the one-line diagram of a simple three-bus power system with generation at buses 1 and 3. The voltage at bus 1 is 1.025 per unit. Voltage magnitude at bus 3 is fixed at 1.03 pu with a real power generation of 300 MW. A load consisting of 400 MW and 200 Mvar is taken from bus 2. Line impedances are indicated in the diagram in per unit on a 100 MVA base. Assume that line resistances and line charging susceptances are neglected. 10.06 10.07 j0.08 V1 = 1.02520° P3 = 300 MW 1 3 Slack V3 = 1.03 20.026 20.027 j0.028 20.022 j0.026 j0.029 2. 400 MW 200 Mvar Obtain the power flow solution for this system using Gauss-Siedel method. Perform two iterations only in calculating the unknown values at buses. (i.e. evaluate voltages, angles, active power and reactive powers at all buses as well as line flows and losses)
