Assign codes for all diagnoses and procedures
(ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS):
10. Anemia due to acute and chronic blood loss treated with
transfusion of 2 units of packed red blood cells (percutaneous
peripheral vein, nonautologous)
I am having trouble with the ICD-10-CM code. After looking in
the index I found acute anemia due to blood loss is coded as D62
and chronic anemia is coded to D50.0 however, there is an Excludes1
note and therefore both can't be coded. Is there as a more
appropriate code(s) that I would assign? Thank you!
