Adult, child and Infant:
Windpipe - Allows carbon dioxide to be inhaled into the lungs




Adult, child and Infant:
Breathing- moves air in and out the lungs




Adult, child and Infant:
Sternum - protects the heart and lungs




Adults:
Windpipe - Fully developed, doesn't collapse with full head
tilt




Adults:
Normal Breathing rate - -6-10 BM




Adults:
Two hand compression technique, 1/3 deep, centre of the chest




Children 1-8 years:
Windpipe - Narrower, softer, head tilt may need adjusting according
to age




Children 1-8 years:
Normal Breathing rate -60 BPM




Children 1-8 years:
Either a one or two hand compression technique, 1/3 deep, centre of
chest




Infants- under 1 year:
Windpipe - Softer, airway is narrower, will collapse with full head
tilt




Infants- under 1 year:
Normal Breathing rate - 125-140 BPM




Infants- under 1 year:
2 finger compression technique, centre of chest
