You are covering the ICU, and you have a patient Vol-SIMV. You
set a tidal of 450ml and it requiring a PIP of 25cmH20 to deliver
that tidal volume. You do an inspiratory hold in which you record a
plateau pressure of 17cmH20. The flow is set at 50LPM. What PS
level should you set the patient spontaneous tidal to be augmented
with?
