Mr. K's employer drives him to the emergency department after an accident on the factory floor. The employer tells the admissions nurse: "Listen, I suspect the guy is suicidal and that this was no accident. I have all the sympathy in the world for him-his wife left him-but I need to know if you think he is suicidal or did this on purpose to injure himself." Mr. C is a senior in high school who has attempted this evening to kill himself.
