PART B – ENTHALPY OF NEUTRALIZATION Calculate the enthalpies of
neutralization (in kJ mol-1) for the reactions of NaOH(aq) with
both HCl(aq) and CH3COOH(aq), as they are written in the
introduction. Be sure to include the heat absorbed by the
calorimeter in your calculation (its heat capacity was determined
in Part A). Note that even though the liquid in the calorimeter is
not pure water, it mostly is and, to a good approximation, the
specific heat capacity of the solution is the same as that of
water. [4 Marks]
