Alice was an animal trainer. She had trained four pet hamsters, which she called "The HamStars", to dance and act. Alice would upload the videos of "The HamStars" on YouTube so that other people could view their performances. Bishop was an animal lover; he had subscribed to The HamStars' channel on YouTube and would watch their videos daily. On Monday, Bishop emailed Alice, stating "I am willing to buy The HamStars at HKD 10,000. Please let me know your reply by Saturday." Later, Alice wrote to Bishop. indicating that I will sell you The HamStars at the price of HKD 20,000. I will keep this offer open to you by Friday." On Tuesday, when Alice was training The HamStars in her garden, her neighbor lighted off a firecracker. The loud bang scared the rodents, making two of the hamsters escape the garden fence. Cleo, Alice's young sister, also loved the hamsters very much. Knowing Alice needed to search for the escaping hamsters, Cleo proposed helping Alice to feed the other hamsters if Alice could pay her HKD 200 in return. Alice said: "Deal." On Friday, after watching the announcement uploaded by Alice, Bishop emailed Alice, saying that he would accept Alice's offer, paying HKD 20,000 for The HamStars.
