1. Force between two point charges Calculate the force between two identical point charges of charge q, separated by a distance 2Az, by using Griffiths equation 8.22 [in my book – may be slightly different in other versions!] Namely, integrate the Maxwell stress tensor over an infinite plane perpendicular to the line connecting the charges and equidistant from the two charges, assuming that the remainder of the "closed surface” is far enough away so that the fields have gone to zero and have no contribution.
