25% 2- The two-span bridge is subject to the seismic lateral shown. Three square columns are made of reinforced concrete with an Ec = 3,900,000 psi and moment of inertia of 1 = 120,000 in each. The columns 2 & 3 are fixed at tops and bottoms (rigid concrete slab and hard soil) while column 1 is assumed to be pinned at the bottom (presence of soft soil) and fixed at the top.
