6. For an application it is proposed to use aluminum rivets to secure two aluminum plates edge-to-edge as depicted below. The selected rivets for this application are made of Aluminum 2024-T4 with the dimensions shown below. The applied in-plane shear force to these plates is expected not exceeding 2000 lbf.
