3- The two-story special steel moment-resisting frame (Steel-SMF) office building (standard occupancy). The building assigned a seismic design category (SDC) “C”. The story height is 14 feet. Ss & S, are 0.75g and 0.50g respectively. The unit dead weights for the roof and the floor are 20 pounds per square foot and 30 pounds per square foot respectively. The walls have a unit dead weight of 35 pounds per square foot. The soil type was determined to be site class B. -30' x 30' Second Level 1 14' First Level 14 Base ELEVATION a) Calculate the design spectral accelerations Spi and Sps b) Assuming the seismic lateral forces at levels 1 and 2 are 3 and 7 kips respectively. Calculate the total overturning moment (OTM) at the SD level. c) Assuming the seismic lateral forces at levels 1 and 2 are 3 and 7 kips respectively. Calculate the total overturning moment (OTM) at the ASD level.
