In an experiment carried out to determine the molar mass of an
unknown compound, 1.071 g of
the unknown was dissolved in 27.00 g of cyclohexane. The freezing
point of pure cyclohexane
was found to be 6.5 °C and the freezing point of the solution was
1.5 °C. The freezing point
depression constant for cyclohexane is Kf (cyclohexane) = 20.2 °C
kg mol‒1. What is the molar mass
of the unknown compound? Clearly show all work for credit!
