Geometric problem
a) ∆ ABC is an acute triangle. Show that the area, A, of ∆ ABC
can be found using the formula A = 0.5ac sin B (2 marks)
b) Show that the area, A, of ∆ ABC can also be found using the
formula A = ab sin C (2 marks)
C. A circle with center C and radius 5.5 cm intersects a line
segment AB at points D and E. If ∠CAB = 48.9 ◦ and AC = 6.4 cm,
what is the length of chord DE, to the nearest tenth of a
centimetres. (3 marks)
