Problem 3 (20 points) A confined aquifer has hydraulic conductivity of 5 m/day and thickness of 20 m. The pre- pumping groundwater level was 25 m above mean sea level. A pumping well was drilled and pumped at rate of 1,561 m/day. At steady flow, one observation well 50 m away from the pumping well showed groundwater level 17 m above mean sea level. Estimate groundwater level 10 m away from the pumping well. (Hint: This is a radial flow problem.)
