We consider the following context:
Five employees, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are each required to undertake
one of five jobs, A, B, C, D and E. The suitabilities of each
employee for each job, on a score from 0 (completely unsuitable) to
20 (completely suitable) are shown in the following matrix:
A
B
C
D
E
Employee
1
7
11
11
1
10
2
12
14
13
5

8
4
9

5

20

(So employee 1 with a score of 1 appears very unsuitable for job
D, but employee 5 with a maximum score of 20 appears very
suitable.)
