The absorbance is the fraction of light that does not
go through the cuvette, relative to the blank cuvette. This
can be expressed as the following: 𝐴 = 1 βˆ’ (𝐼𝐷𝑦𝑒 / πΌπ΅π‘™π‘Žπ‘›π‘˜) where A
is the absorbance at each wavelength, IDye is the intensity at each
wavelength for the spectrum of the dye, and IBlank is the intensity
at each wavelength for the blank spectrum. Use this formula on
MATLAB to plot an absorbance spectrum of all the dyes, with an
accurate wavelength axis. You will notice that the absorbance is
particularly noisy below 420nm and above 680nm. Find a way to
remove these data from your spectrum, without breaking your
wavelength calibration.
What code can I write on Matlab to remove data from the
spectrum?
