The CC region is for ‘cosmic chronometers’, based on measuring
properties of the oldest passively evolving galaxies as a function
of red-shift. Without performing
calculations, explain qualitatively how a difference in the colour
or spectrum of passively-evolving galaxies separated in redshift
could be used to make a cosmological constraint.
