Problem 27 The bakery sells boxes of traditional Czech Christmas cookies. Each box contains the same kind of cookies. Employees complain that it is difficult to fill the boxes with cookies to match the required box weight because some pieces of cookies are too heavy. They claim, for example, that it is easier for them to fill the 150 g boxes with Vanilla rolls (vanilkové rohlíčky) than with Wasp's Nests (vosí hnízda) and that the boxes of Wasp's Nests are systematically heavier than those with Vanilla rolls. Furthermore, they claim that there are bigger differences between the weights of boxes of one kind than among the boxes of the other kind. In Table 3, you can find the weights of a sample of boxes of each kind of cookies. Test both claims at 5 % significance level. What additional assumptions do you need in order to perform these tests? If possible, test these assumptions as well.
