9) An intravenous infusion for a child weighing 60 lb is to
contain 20 mg of vancomycin hydrochloride per kilogram of body
weight in 200 ml of sodium chloride injection. Using 10 ml vials
containing 500 mg of vancomycin hydrochloride (dry powder), explain
how you would obtain the amount needed in preparing the infusion.
the answer is Ans: Need 545 mg. Recon 2 vials with 10
ml diluent each. Use all the contents of 1 vial with 0.9 ml of 2nd
vial. please help, please fully explain i will rate :)
