Actually i thought the answer of f(x) would be 1-x^3, so i am not sure why such answer is achieved.
1. We have a cumulative distribution function F(x) for a continuous random variable X as a F(x) = -{ 0, 2 < 0 2, 0<x<1 1, > 1 (a) What is the probability density function f(x) of X ?
Since, f(x) = d.F(x) x . F(x) we have = dx f(x) = { 0, < 0 3x2, 0 < x < 1 0, x > 1
