The waiting time for customers at the Burger Restaurant follows a normal distribution with a population mean of 3 minute

Post by answerhappygod »

The waiting time for customers at the Burger Restaurant follows
a normal distribution with a population mean of 3 minutes and a
standard deviation of 1 minute. The supervisor believes that he
succeeded to make a decrease in the waiting time. So, he selected a
50-customer sample and found that the mean waiting time was 2.75
minutes. To test if he can conclude that the mean waiting time is
less than 3 minutes, then the null and alternative hypotheses
should be written as follows:
Ho: μ = 3 H1: μ < 3
Ho: μ = 3 H1: μ ≠ 3
Ho: μ = 3 H1: μ > 3
Ho: μ > 3 H1: μ = 3
