A 5 inch diameter, 36 inch long round nose torpedo with a
density of 65.5 lb/ft^3 is dropped into the ocean water, nose down
from a height of 25 feet above seawater. What forces does the
torpedo see as it impacts the seawater vertically, nose first?
What forces would the torpedo see if it was dropped
horizontally and hit the seawater directly on its side?
