2. The state of a quantum particle in one dimension is represented by the wave function SA(a² – x²), 4(x) = 0, if -a≤x≤a otherwise (1) (a) Determine the constant A from the normalisation condition. (b) Calculate the expectation values of the position observables x and x², as well as those of the momentum observables p and p². (c) Check that Heisenberg's uncertainty principle holds. What would happen to the momentum uncertainty of a more localised particle where the size a is reduced by a factor of 2?
