Suppose, hypothetically, species of islands A and B are morphotypes of the same species that can still produce viable offspring after mating. Wind currents have also been observed to regularly blow butterflies from island A (which is by far the largest island with a population size 10 times greater than island B) to island B. It has been confirmed that these butterflies have the ZZ/ZW sex determination system and red eyes is a Z-linked recessive phenotype. Furthermore, these butterflies have an annual life cycle. Over the course of two seasons a lepidopterist has collected the following number of specimens from the two islands:
