But it has not been a happy occasion for them since Mrs Mark was informed that their newborn has Cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is an autosomal recessive disorder. Mrs Mark complained that the midwife probably mixed up her baby with someone else. She was upset and forced Mr Mark to lodge a formal complaint. Mr Mark is heterozygous for Cystic fibrosis, and Mrs Mark is homozygous.
