The Reaction 5.0 mmol 0.75 mL 1.0 equiv. isophorone Li 2.0 M solution 2.75 mL, 5.5 mmol 1.1 equiv. lithium diisopropylamide THF -78 °C [INT] methyl acrylate OMe 10.0 mmol 0.91 mL 2.0 equiv. THF -78 °C then warmed to RT quench with 1M HCI workup with ether/water/brine OMe a bicyclo[2.2.2]octane
