In the synthesis of 2-bromoenanthic acid from enanthic acid by the Hell-Volhard-Zelinskii reaction, when I tried to add water in the second step, I accidentally added methanol. In this case, a compound different from 2-bromoenanthic acid is obtained, but what is it? Answer the compound iupac name.
