Chemical Equilibrium (1): For the following
reaction (equation is balanced) which was studied at 1215
K,
3Fe (s) + 4H2O (g) ->
Fe3O4 (s) + 4H2 (g)
it was found that the equilibrium partial pressure of water
(H2O) was 0.0197 atm, and the total pressure of the
system at equilibrium was 0.0478 atm. Find the equilibrium
constant, Kp, for this reaction at 1215 K.
HINT: Ptotal = PH2 +
PH2O
