A cricketer hits a ball directly perpendicular to the left of the original trajectory of the bowled ball. As he is coming back for a second run the fielder overthrows and the wicket-keeper catches the ball 10 m directly to the side of the batter's crease. Seeing the batsman is going for a third run the keeper throws the ball to the bowlers end. Assuming the batsman has 20 m to run, the ball is on target to hit the stumps, and that the ball leaves the keeper's hands and the batsman leaves the crease at the same time; will the batsman make the third run or be run-out? Finally, assume the keeper is throwing the ball to the same location the batsman is trying to reach. The batsman runs at a speed of 5 ms] and the keeper throws the ball at 8 ms.
