(a) A rock is dropped from a top of a tower. The rock hits the ground 2.5 s after it is dropped. Calculate the height of the tower. [1 mark] (b) An object moves horizontally along x-axis. The graph below shows the velocity of the object versus time. V (m/s) 11.0 9.29 7.0 죠 5.0 t(s) 0 5.0 7.0 8.0 (i) Calculate an average acceleration of the object from time t = 5s to t = 8s. [1 mark]

(ii) Calculate an average velocity from time t=0 tot = 7 s [1 mark] (iii) Based on the velocity versus time graph above, sketch a graph of displacement versus time for time 0 ≤ ≤ 8.0 s. [2 marks] (c) An object travels along a straight line in horizontal with a velocity v = (5 - 2t) m/s, where t is in seconds. When t = 0 s, the particle is located at position x = 0. Determine the (i) acceleration when t = 5 s, [2 marks]

(ii) displacement from t = 5 s to t = 12 s. [2 marks]
