Frodo loses his grip on the ring. Frodo runs to catch it at a
velocity of 8.6 m/s. He catches the Ring at the top of its arc,
when the velocity is a purely horizontal 1.1 m/s. Both Frodo and
the Ring are moving in the same direction. Frodo has a mass of 29kg
and the Ring has an eerily heavy mass of 6.9 kg. Even though Frodo
becomes invisible, you are able to find him because you know his
velocity after this collision. What is the post-collision velocity
(in meters/second) of Frodo with the Ring?
