A skateboarder who has a mass of 61.5 kg, comes down a ramp and
coasts across a level roadway. At the bottom of the ramp, the
skateboarder has a speed of 4.82 m/s. After coasting for a
distance of 35.0 m, friction has slowed him down to a speed of 1.13
m/s. What is the work done by friction on the
skateboarder? (Be sure to solve this question using the
concepts and skills we learned this unit; work, energy, and
power.)
