A patient is treated on the 6-MV linear accelerator at 100 cm
SSD. The collimator setting is 20 cm × 12 cm and further blocked to
a 9 cm × 9 cm using MLC. The prescription states that a dose of
3000 cGy is to be delivered to a depth of 5 cm in 10 fractions.
Each fraction makes use of AP/PA beam arrangements that are
weighted at 2:1. Calculate the MU given for AP and PA
fields.
