Q4: a. The first step of the oil industries includes transportation the oil, acid gas, and water mixture from the oil well to the gathering system through pipeline (1). Dose the materials of the gathering system [pipeline (1), Flange, and pipeline (2)] susceptible to either external or internal corrosion, where, give type of that corrosion for each one and prove that thermodynamically if the materials of the separator, and the pipelines are carbon-steel, while the flange made of zinc.
