The content of organic compounds contained in industrial waste that comes out of Clarifier 1 is 1500 mg/l, Mixed Liquare Suspended Solid 4000 mg/l with a discharge of 1000 m3/day. The pollutants contained in the waste will be treated using aerobic biological treatment with an activated sludge system with recirculation. Substartate depletion constant = 5.5 g/l with maximum microbial growth rate = 3/day. Substrate removal by microbes 0.6 mg Suspendid solid/mg BOD Desired BOD of effluent coming out of the treatment system is 200 mg/l. find: a. Required volume of aeration tank b. mud age c.
