A surveyor is asked to determine a series of reduced levels along a sewerage drain. To ensure the flow rate is within the required tolerances they have been asked to determine the 3D coordinates with a certain precision. a. Explain the difference between precision and accuracy and describe what the surveyor can do to estimate the precision even before any fieldwork is undertaken (2 marks). b. Despite being in an urban location with a range of CORs stations nearby, the surveyor has chosen to use a GNSS receiver in Precise Point Positioning mode for this task. Explain why (depending on the required precision) this may not be a good idea? (3 marks) c) Provide an example of a better surveying and spatial science technology which could be used to complete the task. (5 marks)
