2.5 kg 2.0 kg 0.5 kg In the frictionless system shown above, Three blocks are connected through light strings that pass over frictionless pulleys. The system is released (Zero initial speed) and the 2-kg block descends with the same acceleration the other two blocks move. Answer the following questions: A) Draw and label all forces acting on each block. (Note that there are two different strings so each string has a different tension (T1 and T2)) B) Write the equation of motion for each block. (Note that the size of the acceleration is the same for all the blocks) C) Solve the system of equations obtained in the previous question to calculate the acceleration of the system. (Hint: The tensions should cancel out) D) Calculate the tension on each string (T₁ and T2). E) If the system is released from rest, what's the 2.0-kg block's displacement after 4 seconds? (Note that all blocks move the same distance)
