Interested to see how this circuit works. I believe the traic is
phase shifted by the combination of the variable resistor and the
capacitor. i know that the variable resistor will restrict flow to
the capacitor changing the time it takes to charge and discharge,
so in turn this change in TIME for the capacitors charge and
discharge rate will phase shift the triac giving me control over
its SINE wave.
