Project : Creative a website
Team Project: Maximum 3 students per group As part of the digital generation, your role in the workplace will undoubtedly involve some interaction with digital communication and technologies. Consider the following scenario... You work for a non-profit organization and the CEO wants to create a website and blog to attract new members and communicate better with the public. The problem is - she has absolutely no idea on how to start a blog, or create a website, or anything like that! Your organization doesn't have enough money to hire a high-cost consultant, but she knows you took Comp 101 and so has asked you to take this project on. Your job is to create a basic website and blog for the organization. The website will be uploaded to your compscistu.capilanou.ca web server, while the blog will be hosted by one of the public blogging services out there. This is a significant project, and you won't be able to complete it the night before it is due! To help you out, here is a step-by-step guide to completing the project: ● Step 1: Getting Started (the most important task -- do it now!!) Step 2: Website Design (this is research and paper-and-pencil work - no HTML skills needed yet) ● • Step 3: Website Implementation (this includes a detailed grading key for how your project will be graded)
