Imagine YOU wish to need to redecorate or update a room in YOUR
current house e.g. re-paint the walls, re-finish the plaster,
replace/install new furniture, design a new color scheme, lighting,
layout, etc. In this scenario, you must use an external
contractor for some piece of the work. The maximum budget is
$800.
Part 2 – RFP:
Prepare an RFP to send out to potential caterers/contractors so
that you can receive back their
responses and select one to do the requested work (e.g. to cater
the food at the party / or to do room
painting, etc.).
Choose your own RFP format (or search the web).
Prepare an RFP as per the RFP Guidelines as presented in the class
and the slides from the textbook
(Chapter 2).
For your RFP (10 marks):
1. Include the sections and content as specified in the Guidelines,
including:
1. State project objective or purpose
2. Provide a statement of work
3. Include customer requirements
4. State deliverables the customer expects
5. State acceptance criteria
6. List customer supplied items
7. State approvals required
8. State type of contract
9. State payment terms
10. State schedule and key milestones
11. List format and content instructions
12. Indicate the due date
13. Include evaluation criteria
14. Include the level of effort or funds available
2. Is formatted professionally and easy to read
3. 1 – 2 pages content maximum.

5. Include your name and student id on the first page of the
RFP.
Simulate that you are now a contractor (caterer, painter, etc)
wishing to respond to the RFP you created
in Part 2.
Prepare a Proposal to respond to the RSP to provide food catering
for the dinner event.
Format and content should be as per the Proposal Guidelines as
presented in the class and the slides
from the textbook (Chapter 3).
For your Proposal (10 marks):
1. Include the relevant sections and content as specified in the
Guidelines, including:
• Technical
o Understand the need
o Proposed approach or solution
o Benefits to the customer
• Management
o Description of major tasks
o Deliverables
o Project schedule
o Project organization
o Related experience
o Equipment and facilities
• Cost

Proposal.
For the scenario in Parts A and B, create a contract between the
Customer and Contractor to provide
the services as indicated in Parts 1, 2, and 3.
Format and content should be as per the Contract Guidelines as
presented in the class and the slides
from the textbook (Chapter 3).
For the Contract (10 marks):
1. Include the relevant sections and content as specified in the
Guidelines, including:
• Names of both persons/parties
• Start/End dates
• Details of items or services
• Prices
• Other Terms and Conditions as applicable:
o Misrepresentation of costs
o Notice of cost overruns or schedule delays
o Approval of subcontractor
o Customer-furnished equipment or information
o Patents
o Disclosure of proprietary information
o International considerations
o Termination
o Terms of payments
o Bonus/penalty payments
o Changes

Contract.
Take all the dates and student names and id according to you I
will change them according to me and as well all other names
according to you I will change it later so I have 30 hours still
left to submit this project so take it easy and make it properly
it's my request to you and please work according to the scenario.
My subject is project management but there is no option of this
subject so that why I'm posting it in to this so please help me
