Two identical waterjets are used to power a fast passenger ship. The hull-related parameters are total drag coefficient, C = 0.0050 and underwater wetted surface area S = 500 m². The speed that is intended is 42 knots. The mixed flow pumps powering the waterjets have a head of 12 meters. Both intake and exit of the waterjets are below the sea surface. a. Waterjet velocity at the exit b. Propulsive efficiency c. Power delivered to each pump d. Inlet-exit diameters of the waterjet (assuming circular cross sections)
