Downhill: A person on a bicycle (combined mass: 5.912 slugs) rides at 22.0 mph down a road which is angled 6.00 degrees below the horizontal. The rider applies the brakes. a) If the wheels do not seize up, how much distance is required for the bike to stop? b) If the wheels seize up, how much distance is required? The coefficients of static and kinetic friction between the tires and the road are 0.48 and 0.22 respectively. Neglect any air resistance or effects otherwise due to the rolling of the wheels. Assume that the tires act equally upon the road and that the bicycle can be treated as a simple, solid object. Answer in feet.
